@olds:
BP uses shell gasoline. and i use BP almost exclusively.
@nsanity:
and here in the states, we don't use the RON rating. we just use octane. 98 ron = 93 octane, 95 (6?) ron = 89 oct, and 93 ron = 87oct.

Thanks for the answers, everyone. The card I now use for gas just cut their discount, 2% instead of 5%, because of the high cost of gas. I'm looking for a better deal.
The BP card offers a 6% discount, but it's only an introductory offer. Also says that when you use the card for other purchases, you earn credits for gas. If anyone knows of a card with a good gas discount, let me know.

Any MAJOR name brand of gas is gonne be better than a "Billys-Big Old Gas Stop" but I only give my cars :
Chevron - Techron is shown to work very well at keeping you motor clean and 'happy'
Shell - If its good enough for ferrari, its good enough for me! Plus the V-Power is also a great addative.

any name brand ( bp amoco shell chevron citgo texaco etc.. ) gas is fine. it's the independant stations you have to watch out for or those in the middle of nowhere that have had the same gas in their tanks for the past few years...

I just filled up my tank with bp tonigt, i believe they use Amaco gas, they bought out Amaco. Personally i think Shell 93 octane V power is the best normal gas money can buy, BP is also high quality, but not shell.

BP bought Amoco years ago, but took their time about remodeling the Amoco stations to the BP look. I've always used Amoco premium gas (it's been unleaded at least since the 50's, I think), and my neighbor who owns a BP station claims all the BP gas in the US is really Amoco - hence the little stickers on the BP pumps.
All the majors are OK - some petroleum engineers claims that Shell V-Power is the best. Whatever!
