Porsche Cayman S

Some of the auto magazines have written up this new model. Very significant since Porsche is almost admitting mid-engine layout is best for performance.
Nice lines based on the Boxster. It is actually better looking than some of the composite/best guess drawings that surfaced.

Cheaper than the 911....... where does one sign?

I have a feeling they are going to put a leash on this bad boy, otherwise I can easily see it surpasing the performance of it's bigger brothers. Unfortunate, but maybe porsche is slowly going to phase in the mid engine platform as the sports car and push the 911 into the GT category.

I am just waiting for the club sport version. drooool

So this morning, I went to scope out the details for a new Cayman.
I thought I would have liked it more. Performance aside, I think that I'm getting jaded with the 911 shape - too many of them around. Can't get excited about the car.......

Isn't it true that the Cayman and the S don't have the dry sump engines present in the higher priced 911s (GT3, Turbo, GT2) and the CGT?
