if i had the money id buy a Z06 and a nice FD... probably even get a rx8 as a daily driver... then put the remaining 80-90k in the bank. lol... but very nice porche indeed.

Thank you sir. That was beautiful!!!!!

That is amazing. It makes an Rx-8 look like a toy...

Damn.....I hadn't seen it in action, I had only read about it.....I have even read a comparative review with the new 599....

Of course it's fast, of course it's expensive, and of course it's the only supercar that can be a grocery-getter at the same time as a track-day car....

And all that for only 150KE or $ or UKP or whatever else....

Love the look of the new turbo. I just don't get it. Personally, I'd rather have a giant luxury saloon and a ***** to the wall sports car than a compromise between the two. Say a 911 GT3RS and an Audi S8.

I'm glad to see someone is implementing VGT. That's impressive enough right there.

There's something very special about certain cars that it's tough to put a price on. The Z06 isn't one of those special cars, it's just a very fast car for a good price. The FD... it has been so long since I've driven, but I have a feeling stock for stock I and most others would prefer even the RX-8 over one. I'll take a 911 Turbo please, then I'll get an Ultima GTR or a Noble for my trackday car

hey different strokes for different folks eh? i respect that. it depends on what theyre looking for, if theyre looking for daily drivability then ofcourse they would pick an rx8 over a FD. if theyre looking for a track car, dyno queen, or weekend cruiser they might go for the FD. who knows? different people different opinions.

I have to agree with you here. As much as I love vettes and always have, as I've grown up, they've become less and less exotic to me and more common place. FD vs the 8 stock for stock, it depends on what you're doing. Daily driver, i'd take the 8 hands down. Weekend car, i'd take the FD.

If I could pick up a track day car, it wouldn't be a porsche, not because they're bad cars, but i wouldnt push it to the limit cuz of the price. A prodrive p2 however, while ugly, would be a ton of fun :b

I can attest. I've driven a few 911's 993 and 996 and there's just something about them. The mystique, exotic car feel, with a touch of practicality all for a price that you can live with when talking exotic type sports cars. I mean, you could hang with ferraris for a third of the price, and pick up your kids on the way home. But as Ike says, there's just something very special about 911's that make them great. It's something that speaks to the driver and is intangible...alot like RX-8 is for so many people...this car is an even heavier dose of the same drug.

You guys should be downloading the entire episodes of Fifth Gear and Top Gear. They are a dream come true for car enthusiasts. I never miss an episode, just use your favorite Bitorrent application and get the episodes at www.isohunt.com or www.mininova.org or www.finalgear.com

+1 for www.utorrent.com

Anyways, I just finished the part on the 997 during the episode and I was totally blown away. That car is heavenly, and that damn Plato is getting one. He already has a F430 for damn's sake!

I use Transmission. Looks and works great.. You pretty much download the .torrent file from Mininova and open it using Transmission, and off you go.. Mininova also supports RSS, so you can use your newsreader to tell you when a new episode is up.

http://transmission.m0k.org/

and if you don't have a newsreader, check out shrook.. www.shrook.com

When are these supposed to be released? If they are already out, has anyone seen one yet?
