I absolutely LOVE what nissan/infiniti has done with this new beast
- over 50 WHP improvement over the previous g35
- almost 40% stiffer chassis
- revamped interior (much more luxurious than before)
- exhaust note is even meaner than ever (at WOT)

This car is nothing short of pure excitement..

Looks like a Camry Solara from a distance - both front and back. Well, at least the headlights and tail lights do, luckily it has a unique shape to differentiate itself. That's kinda weird, but otherwise nice car.

Sorry but I think that motor sounds bloody awful . The exhaust note is great but the motor itself sounds like a bucket of bolts . Looks do nothing for me either ....

 

The front of the car is hideous. But it probably handles as well as ours now. Shame.

 

Yeah why does the front look like it's built for an old person.

 

I would take the g37, but with a g35 body. It was a hit right out of the box for a reason..

 

Agreed, it doesn't look quite as good as the g35, looks more bulbous and less sleek.

And hopefully they fixed the notchy shifter and the suspension from the last one.

exhaust still sounds good but yeah the engine sounds like it is slightly out of tune...as for the rx8 vid that was pretty sweet driving.

 

Agreed with most people here. That engine sounds awful and the exterior styling has suffered a huge setback.

And only in America will you have a magazine named "Winding Road" shoot a video on a road that is almost exclusively straight.

 

if they kept it closer to the concept i'd be happy, yes great engine but horrible skin.

Nice to see it still has a good old fashioned stick shift. Too many are going the tiptronic or smg route.

 

Anyone notice the car spent most of its time on the straight road in the vid? Is that supposed to be orgasmic? Am I missing something? It's about as exciting as watching The View.
Ahh the simple pleasures of a one dimensional car owner.
I suppose if I want a heavy coupe I'd still opt for a 335i.

 

I'll still take one for a test drive after it comes out.

 

I am not a fan of the new looks, but they will probably grow on me.
