Official Tokyo Autoshow RX Thread
Awhile back it was rumored that Mazda would debut a concept or close to production rotary car at the Tokyo Autoshow in 2007. Since then it has become kind of silent, but if Mazda were to show a new rotary, concept or not, it would make sense to debut in Tokyo as Japan has a bigger rotary following. Does anyone have more information about this? It's been kind of quiet lately.
Yeah well you WILL see the 40th Anniversary Model RX-8!! WOO HOO!!..
But, I posted last year that we should see a revised RX-8 as the Tokyo Motor Show is the Launch for most new rotaries as was the Evolv.
However, I am not too certain as the TMS is a biannual event we may have to wait till 2009!!! to see if, and that is a big IF, for anything new in Rotary.

My guess is that the 2007 Tokyo show will have yet another concept design study, but perhaps this time very focused on what the next RX sports car might look like.
If public reaction is super positive, then at the 2009 Tokyo show (since they only happen every 2 yrs) a "working" prototype concept of what should become the next production RX car could debut.
