Official STi photos

Sorry if it's a repost.

New official pix of the STi is available.

Here's one of them.

More here.

Better than the WRX rendition. 304hp.311lb-ft on a 3200lb-ish car. Quick quick quick! JDM version with 2.0l twin-scroll blowers. I think we will still get a 2.5l turbo.

I don't really like hatches, but I like this. Everything except for the front -- way too boring. And of course the hood scoop, as always, is stupid looking.

I'm really not sure what Subaru was thinking when they designed the new WRX or the new STI.

I want a Evo X. This thing looks like ***.

It looks better than the regular Impreza. That's not saying much though.

I used to drive Subaru's too. Not anymore though.

dude, are you guys serious. I saw these over at supraforums and everyone was saying these are hot, and I've got to agree compared to the conceptual photos we've been seeing for the past few months the car looks great. For once the aftermarket maybe more inclined to the sti over the evo as well, and since no news is good news this car should still have a real 6 speed manuel tranny.

I like it, the fender flares are great and no lame chrome pieces like the WRX. If it drives better than the new Evo and 135i I'll certainly consider it.

damned if you do, damned if you don't. the STi and Evo have been getting complaints that they're too boxy. now they change it and make it smoother and get negative reaction for that. personally i think it looks terrible but i feel like it looks like a mini crossover.

EVO is still boxy. But that Audi-esque front maw looks badass.
STi no longer has ricer wing and fins. It has grown up and left the sandbox leaving the EVO to play with the Neons.
The hatchback format would be great utility. There was a time when STi wagons roamed the streets. I missed them when the ugly GD came.

i personally think it looks pretty good (kind of euro) but i cant compare it to the previous STI becasue they just look so diferent. The tail lights have to go for sure though. the previous is / was obviously much better looking. Its kind of like the new eclipse, the designsd are so far apart its hard to compare it to the previous year.

I think it looks ok. Not too sure about the tail lights though. Looks real ricey to me.

I think some folks are liberally using the word RICE/Ricey without knowing its full meaning. Ricey cars denotes cars that look fast but aren't. The STi is anything but. It may not look as nice, but ricey it's not. So is the EVO or Mustang.
