Alonso doesn't have a reasonable chance to win. It's only his talent that allows him onto the podium.
I started the race with a mug of coffee and a cigar. The cigar lasted 25 laps. I'm still working on the coffee.

Oh ya, Maldonado & Grosjean need to go. They make too many mistakes.
You know your an F1 addict if your spell checker picks the correct spelling of the drivers.

Saw a job advert for an F1 driver and thought it would be appropriate to share.

Vettel coasted for almost 38 laps out of 44. still finished 16 seconds ahead. Alonso pushed like hell and got to 2nd.
Championship is over, Newey is 4 times champion. All you need to do is point that thing and press the accelerator. Its funny though; RBR complained about the Renault engine not having grunt, was granted to break homologation and to give it more power. It was all a ruse to mould the engine around exhaust blowing and now they have changed their set up philosophy from merely slinging all downforce on for the corners and hoping they cant be caught on the straights, they now can utilise the renault engine and be even more dominant.

Yeah, it doesn't look like any car out there can challenge RB. Sucks because IMO Vet doesn't deserve to have 4 WDCs in a row; he's not the caliber of a Senna or a Schu. Times have changed though and DNFs are a rare thing (sadly), especially for Horner & Co.
I have found Vettel to be a good front runner. Naturally, it is easy to run your own race unimpeded once you are in front. You get to run the perfect lines and get to keep improving your advantage. Moving up from the from the middle of the pack puts a lot of strain on the car and driver as well as more risk of crashes.
I do not think Vettel would have won as many races if he was not in the top three at the start of the race.

As usual it comes to Alonso vs Newey since Ferrari apparently forgot how to make race cars.
Vettel is a solid driver but he's not a true champion. I'd take Alonso or the Messiah over him any day if I had to start a team.

^+1!!! I agree with you bse 100% The only way I'm going to like Vettle is if he goes to a team without the best car...then lets see how he goes. He's a great driver, no doubt...but has he ever been REALLY tested??!?!?!?

There is talk of Alonso going to RBR. He's chasing the fastest car again and that's a moving target that hasn't always worked for him in the past. Otherwise he would have had more wins and championships.

F1 will be committed to the current path for a while. They will have too much invested in the new engines to change direction for a while. If there is a change, I wouldn't think it will happen for another 3-4 yrs.

'Regulations create revenue, just not for me and you. Just for a select few.'
Change is inevitable but it is sad to see manipulation and alteration JUST FOR THE SAKE of it. These people aren't fools (I don't think, or not entirely). They know the ramifications of these drastic changed in terms of cost. What is the end game. what is the plan? There is always an objective.

Monza marshals threaten to strike | News | Motorsport.com
I never got paid (nor was there an offer to be paid) for working races here in North America. I did get paid for certain marque track days. F1 will probably bring in UK marshals and put a bi-lingual speaker at race control.

Well, Finger Boy pulled the pole at Monza, in fine style I might add. The RB is FAST!
Tomorrow could get really interesting, especially if it rains (As is quite possible). Alonso is PISSED and on a mission. Lewis is calm and ready to push from his poor qualifying spot. Who knows what Kimi might bring to the table? Mark is in position and does not have much to lose.
