Wait what?! Having another car sweeping across the front of your car is.... your fault? That **** was intentional. And... Come on... can you argue that this year, monaco, was perez's fault too?
Either way, MAYBE Hamilton should've yielded and "avoided" the situation, but Lewis had every right to defend that position dude, MAL was never clearly ahead of Lewis, he should've backed off and take Hamilton in the next DRS, corner or straight (whichever, it would've been easy), Hamilton's tires are shot anyway. Had Maldonado had a better sense, he would've noticed it.
I mean just look at this. What was he trying to accomplish here? There's no way he could've made that corner anyway if he didn't slow down. Not only did he not slow down, his wheels at this point are still pointing forward?! WTF? I really can't help but think if this was intentional too. I wish I still had the onboard footage file man to get a screenshot
I mean I know I sound like a desperate Hamilton fanboy here, but come on... how was this Hamilton's fault again?
Fernando on the other hand deserves a prise driving up from 11th, that and Massa REALLY has to go...

Just see what Alonso did when his tyres were shot.. he just let the other drivers pass him. Yet he ended in the points...
That's Hamilton's fault, picking up useless fights.

I know but what did he gain, beside 0 points?
Maldonado tried to overtake and to enter before the chicane to avoid having to handle the position back. If there isn't grip (off-track) and speed their cars are hard to turn so he couldn't avoid hamilton.
It was 50\50 imho. Hamilton needs to grow up, he still has his dumb moments that may cost him a championship.
Kimi is still the machine he once was. Schumacher had a lot of luck but still, he showed he can drive.
Vettel... impressive. 20 seconds lead in a bunch of laps. He is Nando's main treat at the moment.
And yeah.. Nando.
Aggressive, doing one qualifying lap after another. He stripped Grosjean's paint off when overtaking him and had no mercy in general. The kind of driver I like. He fights when he can, tries to limit damages when he knows he can't win.
We didn't see a driver as smart as him in a long time, now... if his team was just as smart... Dumb italians!
Massa is a black hole sucking in bad luck. He was having a decent sunday but then... I'm sorry to say that but decent driver or not he is 100 points behind Nando so he must go.

It was a racing incident and didn't warrant any penalties. Hamilton was much slower than Maldonado and was doing everything he could to keep him from passing. Maldonado knew he was faster, didn't have much time, and did what he had to try and get around Hamilton.
Overall dumb move by Hamilton since he lost a chance at points. Good move by Maldonado because drivers will think twice about pinching him like that in the future.

Without this screw up Lewis might not have been accessible to Maldanado at that point.

Did Sebastian Vettel Just Sign A Three-Year Deal With Ferrari?
Italian channel Italia 1 is claiming that Vettel has signed a three-year deal with Ferrari from 2014. There are always rumors going around in Formula One. Does this one hold any water?
Ferrari seems receptive and both Fernando Alonso (signed at least through 2016) and Stefano Domenicali, Ferrari's team manager, have welcomed the idea of Vettel on the team.
We spoke to a representative from Red Bull who stated, "If you want to run a story based on rumors, that's what it'll be about."
This would mean four collective World Championships between Ferrari's two drivers, not counting a fifth if either one wins the championship this year.

I check F1news.com and no one else is mentioning this either, so there is possibly no merit to this story. But it would be interesting nonetheless.

I'm just asking questions. I do place Alonso in the top 3 but Vettel has to be up there in talent as well. It would be interesting to see a 5 race special with same fuel loads and same engineers working to achieve the individual desired set up of each driver. I'd like to see the top men battle without as much car variables just to know.

Hamilton actually ended up with the same points as alonso In the same car
In my opinion the top 3 raw talents are Alonso, Vettel and Hamilton.
Top 3 drivers... Alonso, Vettel and Raikkonen.

I don't know if I would include Kimi there. When he drove for Ferrari, he seemed to loose focus as the year went on. Alfy called him drunk, which I'm sure he wasn't. Hamilton puts himself in poor situations so I wouldn't include him. I have a hard time coming up with my candidate that could qualify for the third spot.

Honestly, I just think Vettle is a one trick horse. The guy is blazingly fast in the opening stint and pulls a CRAZY gap over the beginning laps, take that away and I don't see being overwhelmingly superior to any of the other drivers. Many will probably disagree with me, but I think Webber is an all around more complete driver than Vettle...Webber's input into development, I'm sure, is far superior than Vettle. Bottom line is Vettle is a damn good driver, and COULD be one of the greats, but he just needs to "bake" a little more.

Vettle is much better than Webber under each and every aspect.
Faster on a single lap, faster pace, more aggressive and younger.
Pulling a huge gap right after outqualifying all your opponents isn't a disadvantage... even when he falls behind he tends to go up the ladder. Can't blame him for being too fast in a better car!
Now, if both him and Alonso had the same car... or if he drove a Ferrari we wouldn't be talking about him at all. Mid pack...
