Alguesuari is an idiot...

Honestly, staying in F1 shud be the priority. And I don't know why Red Bull would rather keep Buemi....

I wouldn't rush to call him out.
Being a third driver for mercedes with a driver on his last year of contract will give you the edge over the eventual competition. HRT was a bad experience for all of its drivers...

I think so...it was originally scheduled for June (dumbasses its 100+ here in June...I'd love to see an F1 car in those temps...lmao) then rescheduled and confirmed for Nov

Anyone know differently?

They were able to come up with the money at the last minute and were put on the calendar. The NY/NJ race is scheduled for 2013 about the time of the Canadian GP (tentative).
I'll bet Bernie is working to get any of the teams to hire a American to drive. Williiams and HRT still have a seat open. Million euro kickback maybe......

I agree with him going to Mercedes...I think he would be better of with a great team in a support role, rather than pushing a POS around in the back of the pack. Hopefully, he'll keep his mouth shut and not argue with the boss, as he did with Torro Rosso....honestly, I think that was part of the reason why they went with Buemi.

I can beat Alonso - Massa
Felipe Massa believes that he can "be even faster" than Fernando Alonso given a competitive car this season.

Massa's contract runs out at the end of 2012 and Stefano Domenicali has already admitted that it will be a crucial year for him having failed to finish higher than fifth in 2011. Massa accrued less than half the amount of points that Alonso managed last season, but when asked if he felt he could challenge his team-mate, he said that given a more competitive car then he could come out on top.
It's nice to have dreams and goals. I'm sure there will be a seat, in F1, for him next year. Maybe with HRT.

Well, Ferrari did a little internal revolution.
Domenicali said in an interview that the new car looks ugly and hideous but should be effective.
New aero engineers were hired straight from mclaren, one of the top bridgestone tyre engineers now has one goal in life too... improving the tyre efficiency on the car.

That's what I like about ferrari. If they have a problem during a season they will address it drastically. Too bad this usually leads to other problems, lol.

Kubica suffered a leg fracture btw.

McLaren seem unable to afford to keep top significant technical people around .

The fracture absolutely sucks for Kubica. He can't seem to get a break . Sorry.

Paul.

'Ugly' Ferrari fails FIA test
Ferrari's efforts to supplant Red Bull at the top of the F1 tree may have suffered a temporary setback amid reports that its 2012 car failed the mandatory FIA crash test.

Several sources, led by Finland's Turun Sanomat and Eurosport, claimed that the car - currently carrying the factory number 663 - was submitted for testing several weeks ago, but had to reworked with additional structural reinforcement, before it could be returned for a second attempt in the coming week. Under revised 2012 regulations, all cars have to have passed the stringent assessment before being allowed to take part in pre-season testing, something that both Caterham and Force India have managed to do.

Sauber is to reveal it's car Feb 6th.

The only significant news out there all seems to be about Ferrari. If there was something from McLaren, RB, etc. I would report it.
A little history, I started posting news reports (a few years ago) during the winter season to keep the F1 thread alive and have something to talk about when there isn't any racing.

The F150 wasn't much to look at either. In fact the current wing size regulations make all the cars ugly. The V-10 cars were the last truly pretty cars.

It's good not to pass the crash test, it means that they aren't adding useless materials to start with!

Jenson Button will be the first driver to sample McLaren's 2012 F1 challenger
Jenson Button will be the first driver to sample the new McLaren MP4-27 at next month's Jerez test.

McLaren has confirmed that Button will take the wheel on February 7 for the first run of the car at the Spanish track.

Button will also drive on the second day of the test, with team-mate Lewis Hamilton taking over for the final two days.

Hamilton will then have the first two days of the Barcelona test, which kicks off on February 21, with Button taking over for the final two. The pair will then alternate running in the final four-day test at the same venue, with Button driving on the first day on March 1.

Bruno Senna signed by Williams for 2012 F1 season
The move means the 28-year-old is joining the team for which his uncle Ayrton Senna was driving when he was killed in 1994.

He was preferred to veteran countryman Rubens Barrichello for the position and will partner Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado.

Senna impressed sporadically after being drafted in by the Renault team in the final races of last season.

RB should just retire and make way for new talent...along with MS, RB would be the longest serving current driver in F1?...I guess MW would be next?
