2hrs of delay? that's incredible...

Enjoy it. Ferrari were being asses as usual ;)

Massa does a WONDERFUL interview afterwards.

alfy28 07-25-2010 11:55 AM

not reading the above comment since the race in the US is being aired now, but saying ridiculous because you can't pass your team mate (even though he is slower) is just wrong. Its ridiculous you can't even over take a slower driver. I hope Massa wins the race, but something is telling me Ferrari wont let that happen. I hope they don't cave in to the baby of the team.

ALso seeing Vettle lose 2 spots was so funny to watch. Ppl say he is the next MS, I just want to say please. No way MS would give out free spots to felllow drivers. I bet Webber had a huge smile on his face when that happen.

Agreed 100%. Full DQ, no points. That was bloody blatant.

I did enjoy the start of the race, though - watching Vettel show his only move (push opponent into wall) backfire was amusing to say the least. I wonder how he'll manage to blame this one on Webber.

alfy28 07-25-2010 12:27 PM

I just can't believe what I heard from Ferrari, actually it doesnt surprise me one bit. Massa just pulled the same move when he allowed Kimi to pass him at Brazil. LOL Ferrari fans always denying that Ferrari doesn't give out Team orders.

I am so glad that Massa made it very obvious that he had to let Alonso pass. Glad Mclaren lets their drivers battle it out.

LMao. OUr race commentators on Speed said last race, the webber team was waving a front wing to Vettle team  . To show that webber won on old parts lol

alfy28 07-25-2010 12:33 PM

Man i bet massa is furious atm. Why couldn't Ferrari order ALonso to cut corners :)

alfy28 07-25-2010 12:41 PM

I know they wont investigate this Team order bs, but if alonso such awesome driver why couldn't
he pass up his team mate the correct way. Sorry but I lost respect for Ferrari which was none in the first place.

alfy28 07-25-2010 12:49 PM

100k fine to Ferrari? This is chump change to Ferrari. If this what the FIA gives out for cheating a race then what is going to stop other teams from doing the same thing that Ferrari has done today. Got to love how Ferrari thinks F1 fans are idiots by saying that Rob comment was not a team order.

Ferrari fined, referred to WMSC over team order allegations

Following their controversial one-two result at the German Grand Prix, Ferrari have been fined US$100,000 by the FIA after race stewards deemed they had breached sporting regulations. The case has also been referred to the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC).

Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, who had been leading the Hockenheim race, moved aside to allow team mate Fernando Alonso past on Lap 49. A few moments before, Massa’s race engineer Rob Smedley had told the Brazilian "Fernando is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?"

Although Ferrari maintained this did not constitute a team order, the stewards decided the Italian team contravened Article 39.1 of the sporting regulations, which regulates against team orders, and Article 151 (c) of the 2010 FIA International Sporting Code, which relates to bringing the sport into disrepute.

The decision will also be forwarded to the WMSC for its consideration, meaning Ferrari could in theory face further sanctions.

Fuck Ferrari. I only support them because Alonso is there and I can't even stomach doing that anymore.

I find it funny that other teams are calling Ferrari out on it though. Every single one of the main teams practice team orders. Who do they think they're fooling?

alfy28 07-25-2010 01:38 PM

you know i was ok with Ferrari 1 and 2 finish, because their team (mechanics) really deserves this to boost up their moral.

But the ppl who at (not mechanics )Ferrari must really think non Ferrar1 fans are sheeps like their fans are. Would Ferrari get on the radio and say that So and such from RB is faster then you, can you confirm this. No they would want that driver to defend postions.

Ferrari fans always wonder why we non ferrari fans hate that team so much, it's because this kind of crap they like to pull.

Its not Massa fault that ALonso got passed at the start.. Also so glad that Mclaren let alonso break his contract, because alonso would of destroyed the team.

I wonder if Ferrari will ask for a rule change tomorrow lol

ASH8 07-25-2010 05:37 PM

Ferrari doing what Ferrari does.....CHEATs....Bullshit...Team Orders..

This is what I hate about F1 and particularly Ferrari..

ASH8 07-25-2010 05:40 PM

As for Vettel...goes to prove what a Shit and Asshole this kid is...

You're absolutely right. At least RedBull and McLaren say to "save fuel" not to let somebody pass openly :)
Ferrari surely did this to provoke, i don't believe that any of their engineers so stupid to even thank Massa after such a move.
Team orders always existed and will always exist in ANY sport, they should just avoid such stupid rules in the first place.

And oh I really liked Vettel's desperate start to push alonso on the wall. It would have worked with any other driver on the grid, too bad he tried it on the wrong one :)

ASH8 07-25-2010 09:41 PM

Lewis Hamilton fans...YOU must see the Latest Ep (5) of Top Gear just shown in UK...

Aryton Senna would have turned 50, Top Gear does a FANTASTIC tribute to Senna, and Lewis gets to drive Senna's old Marlboro Honda F1, a driver he idolised.

I wouldnt say everyone uses Team orders still. if that was the case ALonso would be at Mclaren still lol.

As for massa, i dont blame him for following orders. Just like I dont blame hamilton for following orders to lie. Who I am pissed at is the bosses of these drivers. At least one got fired from the team, I bet we will not see that at Ferrari.

But if Mclaren and RB uses team orders, glad they are smart on how they present the order. Unlike Ferrari, they could of shot out flares saying "Please Let Alonso Pass" or use the bat signal to relay their message. This is a team who had to ask what the rules are for cutting corners lol

And exactly how does a bad start and trying to go in and block the inside prove anything more than that he had a bad start?

According to how you condemn people Vettel seems to be a lot nicer guy than you, thats for certain.

PerSmitt 07-26-2010 12:35 AM

And just to clarify, I really think Alonso deserved a victory here after his brilliant pace. However, he should have passed Massa too. He probably could have too.

As a F1 fan I was looking forward to see Alonso and Massa battling it out. And since you drive slower when fighting for position it would have been lovely having Vettel sneaking up and joining the fight. 3 top tier cars all fighting for no 1 position, how often does that happen?

But Ferrari stole that enjoyment away from us. That pisses me off. If team orders were OK, then fine they could do it and it would still suck because you want the drivers fight against each other. You don't want to watch one letting another pass just like that.

So Ferrari did a team order and FIA has now gone out and said team orders are OK. You pay us $100.000 and you are allowed to do team orders. Because really that is pocket money for the big teams. So now FIA has to think hard what to do. Either scrap the team order rule and let it be used whenever, or stronger sanctions than money are needed.

The only way to hurt Ferrari here is point reduction from Alonso. Ferrari ordered Alonso first because they wanted him to have more points. Then take all his points. Damn unfair to Alonso, but the only way to hurt Ferrari in this case. But maybe FIA doesn't care about that rule. It seems that way when they fine pocket money.

Its one thing to dislike someone. Another thing to keep calling someone an ass. But just because Vettel on a regular basis beat your hero Webber last year you are all irrational about it.

This last example shows how you really did not understand what really happened. What Vettel did is a move any driver getting a bad start would pull. If you are going to critizise someone do it over facts not just senseless rantings.

Vettel will most likely continue upwards now and will be the Red Bull driver fighting for the championship. I really think the bad race from Webber now will be the starting point in Vettel pulling ahead again, as he should since he is the better driver.

You however, need to start realizing this and stop being pissed at Vettel just because he is better than your local hero.

ASH8 07-26-2010 01:31 AM

Much like your senseless Rantings over Vettel a few GP's ago..NO Vettel did not drive into Webber....No...Everyone in the WORLD except YOU thought it was Webber's fault..

No...No...you know ALL about F1 ....

FFttt..

If it walks like a Duck and Quacks like a Duck..then it is an ASS....

What has last year got to do with anything??.....

I support Webber because he is an Australian..like myself..

And you support a German because......??

I support a German because he drives well. I don't let things like nationalities get in the way of who I find drives an inspiring drive. Granted if there was a Swede in F1 I would HOPE he would drive well, but if not it would be a shrug.

What I like in a driver is the flair to be able to press the car to 110%. I respect a driver who pushes so hard that there sometimes is a crash. Like Hamilton, like Kobayashi, like Vettel.

That is what the heat of racing is all about for me.

As for you and Alfy hating Vettel.... well Alfy is not the most rational creature in the world ;) When someone gets on his bad side be prepared for a humiliating experience in photoshop art ;) You however only sprout obceneties. Hardly entertaining at all.

As for the red bull crash before. My only gripe with Webber was that he took such risks to fight back so fiercely against Vettel that it became a crash. Even if Vettel made a mistake it would have been easy for Webber to avoid it. But then again there is that racing glow again and I respect Webber for what he did, fought back as a pureblood racer. And then race incidents happen. And such a race incident rhymes badly with everyone saying how experienced and mature Webber is a as a driver. Especially since Webber had full control to avoid the accident but chose to fight against Vettel with no margin at all.

alnielsen 07-26-2010 08:33 AM

It's a simple process to pull the radio logs to see it Massa was told to allow Alonso pass. Alonso, after the pass, was pulling fastest laps of the race after the pass and Vettel was gaining on Massa. If the pass didn't happen, Alonso would have been put in a bad situation of having to defend the 2nd place position against Vettel as Massa was only 1 sec. ahead of Vettel at the end of the race.
