i hate this to say this, but with 4 laps to go, i really hope hamilton stays 3rd, and hoping toyota makes 2nd. would love to see toyota higher on the podium on home track.

also to **** off the honda and nissan fans, since i am a major toyota fan when it comes to JGTC, since 93.

How was the race? i was sleeping!
I'm a little upset by fisichella's performance. I can't understand if Ferrari is competitive and he's not understanding the car or Kimi is a hell of a driver and Fisichella is just doing his job.
It's really hard to tell!

Kimi is just that good. At least thats what I think it is. Look at it this way, Luca Badoer sucked, Fisichella sucks at this point there are 2 drivers who should be able to drive who just aren't.

Trulli was lucky that Hamilton's KERS system was mucking up and that he couldn't use it at the end of the race otherwise I think Hamilton would have passed Trulli.

Well...being an Aussie..I have been following Webber's racing future, he is an extremely capable drive, BUT...

I have never in all my years seen a Driver who has had SO much bad luck with his car(s)....

A loose head rest issue, caused him to pit "twice" at the start of the race.!!!

Last race...Brake failure.???

VETTEL! Same car one would think?, congrats on the win, but how can his car be so reliable and Webber's Not...

Vettel didn't crash out during practice thats why. Webbers car was brand new, hastily built over the night, and thus there were small issues with the construction.

There is always an issue with his cars....

No It was worse unfortunately. That is why he started from the pit-lane and didn't participate in qualifier. The car was still not ready.

I don't know. Vettel had pretty bad luck too with two engine failures in one weekend. I think it evens out in the long run. No one can have bad luck forever.

Yeah, I am talking about Webber's career in F1, I would guess 80% of all his starts finish with silly broken parts or issues, 10% he crashes, 10% he finishes race, Vettel is still a boy.
And yeah, most cars that don't qualify in practice in most motor-sports have to start from the rear of the grid on race day.

Im gonna go ahead and guess that the drivers champion will not be button. He was good when the brawn were untouchable but now that the other teams have caught up button cant seem to put together more points then rubens or vettel. The championship is really buttons to lose and he is doing just that. It makes me doubt his skill. And now rubens a a fire lit under his ***. I would like to see rubens win it

i feel the same. just like you, i feel that the only reason why button done so well , is because no one was able to touch brawn. but now with teams like ferrari and others , ruben proved to me that he is a better driver. Which is why I hope he wins this year.

And Vettel is just 1 point behind Ruben and Vettel > Ruben. Sorry Alfy, but Vettel is extraordinary.

My guess at the outcome is:
1. Button
2. Vettel
3. Barichello

Barichello will however beat Vettel if Vettel is forced to use a 9th engine or has another spectacular engine failure.

So lets see how it goes in Brazil now....

It would be crazy if Vettel won. How old is he? Would he be the youngest world champion ever?

Paul.

i admit vettel is good, but also makes mistakes. my predication is, his engine is going to fail on either brazil or dubai track.

as for button, i feel he just going to be, behind ruben for the rest of the season.

vettel is 22 i believe.

I agree. Vettel has not had the best luck on the reliability side because Newey designs are kinda Colin Chapmanish. Very much designed on the very limit of failure. not to mention vettel is out of new engines. if he wants a fresh one he will have to take a hefty penalty. So i think Vettels championship hopes are valiant but futile in the end

F1's priority should be US, not Korea

F1's teams association FOTA has reportedly expressed doubts about the addition of South Korea to the 2010 calendar, and would prefer instead to be returning to the United States.

"South Korea is a wonderful country and we have no problems with it, but we hear that the track is four or five hours from the nearest major city," McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh is quoted as saying by Germany's Auto Bild.

"There's no infrastructure, no hotels, no good transport. It makes it difficult for the fans and the media," said the Briton.

He indicated that F1's priority should be immediately reinstating an American round of the world championship.

"There shouldn't be any doubts about Montreal. North America is a big market. In the past we've messed around with North America so much that we should go there for free if necessary," said Whitmarsh.

crosses fingers that mclaren picks him up.

http://www.worldcarfans.com/10910062...by-seasons-end

Kimi Raikkonen's manager has revealed he is seeking a signature on a 2010 contract for the Finn by the time F1 disbands for the season in Abu Dhabi early next month.

The 30-year-old last week ended his contract for next season with Maranello based Ferrari, warning at Suzuka that if he cannot find another top drive for 2010, he will either stay home or go rallying.

Raikkonen's manager Steve Robertson told the Finnish daily Turun Sanomat that he is currently in talks with multiple potential F1 teams -- and one or two that do not seem to be on the hunt for a new driver.

"Hopefully within the next 2 or 3 weeks we will have done something," said the Briton.

Previously, Robertson had admitted the possibility of a return for Raikkonen to McLaren.

He adds: "Top teams want to decide upon their drivers before the season ends in Abu Dhabi in November. A solution in that direction would also be in Kimi's best interest."

McLaren must pick up Kimi. I mean Ferrari gave Polo his dream come true.

Now pony up McLaren and give Kimi what he wants and make our dream come true.

Actually Kimi has pretty much hinted it is McLaren he wants to go to considering he is after a top drive.

There are no indications that Brawn will be as good next year due to redesign due to a bigger fuel tank.

Renault? Ah come on... 2005-2006 is long gone...

Ferrari, no he just left there.

RedBull have signed both their drivers already (i think), and I wonder how long RedBull can stay a top team.

I only see McLaren left as a top drive. Anyone see any other alternatives?

Per,
You will get your wish granted.. you'll see. Kimi is suited to be at McLaren... He was never a "Ferrari material". Italian latin blood can't mix with the Ice Man This is why Alonso and Massa will be waaay better.. A dream Team really...

Even Schumacher blended with the tifosi and he was never seen as "cold".

So can't wait for the Ferrari(ALonso-Massa) vs McLaren(Hamilton-Kimi) races next year...

Carlos
