List for the 24hr of Daytona so far GrandAm > Schedule/Results > EntryList > 1 > EntryListDetail Freedom, Yellow Dragon, and of course Speedsource (with a pair) in GX. Racers Edge RX8 in GT with an all- Mexican driver line up. Go Mazda.

 

Cool to see Racer's Edge fielding their 8. Guess 2012 wasn't the last time a Rotary is run in Grand Am even if RE doesn't field it past the 24.

Glad to see Lotus Evora and Porsche Caymen entries as well. Don't want a default win. But with Speedsource essentially fielding/testing 3 cars they should have a huge edge.

There was one at Daytona, that was said to be running the whole season. Maybe they had sponsor problems.

 

#78 Racers Edge- lil red taco. after the 24hr. race I sent an e-mail congrats. for the finish(ran perfect,NO issues, HELLO MAZDA).finished in front of the #57 camaro,#31 vette,#94 BMW.btw. Got an e-mail back in 15min. from the team owner(they run 2 boss 302 stangs in the conti. series-GS class) sayin thanks and that HE owns an FD and luvs the rotory.

 

sponsor problems , thats weird ... just last year they had a least 5 or more running and before that , them and porsche out number everyone on the field .

 

Sponsor problems was a guess for the remaining RX8 not running a COTA.
This is the last year the RX8 is legal to run. Mazda pulled all money used to sponsor teams and directed it to the diesel Mazda 6 in GX.

No RX8 , I guess thats what will have to root for . I heard they moved from GT class to DP . Was mention on and off last year . Patrick Dempsey driving ?
