Nice pic, Slyvain Tremblay of Speedsource was at the wheels I believe. He was doing some shakedown for the team until an oil pump broke down. Talk about awesome support.

Hopefully this team can find enough sponsors so that they can run the whole season.

Update from GARRA fans forum:
Racers Edge changed their exhaust set up so that it exits at the back now. They're saying it sounds a little different.

They should gain some millionth of a second per lap from the thrust

I tell ya, this was my first full season following Grand-Am and there is nothing like it. I talked to most of the Principals and drivers for the RX-8 teams and everyone is more than accommodating. I can't believe there isn't more of a following. I hope to get to 3 tracks next season and hopefully there will be Mazda corrals there.

You're right again, Bob.

Being a follower since I was a Boy Scout, one would think that the excitement goes stale, but I still get a charge from being there.
I think that the efforts of our teams/manufacturers, especially Speedsource and Mazda have always been proudly hosptiable, generous and supportive to us, the enthusiasts. That adds even more of a charge!

I was a NASCAR fan for over 20 years and have been going to NHIS since the 2nd season and I never experienced anything close to what I have at Grand-Am. This year I decided not to renew my NASCAR tickets.

I'm sure they're all great guys but I'd definitely like to see Devs getting the seat as the 4th driver. Matos did a awesome job carrying the load last year. In terms of Mazda guys-next to Matos, Devs would be the next guy I'd hand over the wheel to.

I'm in the process of copying the 2008 24 hrs over on to DVD. I've had it saved on my DVR all year. It's a keeper for me. Never know when they'll do it again.

Looks like he'll be in the Indycar series for the next season. Should be fun to see how he progresses.

A Prayer for Sylvain Tremblay

I hope everyone can take a moment out of this busy holiday schedule and say a prayer for Sylvain Tremblay and his 2 boys Alec (6) and Daniel (9). Mrs. Carol Tremblay was tragically killed in an auto accident last week. I know there are a lot of supporters here and at this time of the year 2 young boys and a husbond/father need the strength of our hearts.

I would have to agree. I have almost zero respect for Danica. She has been a pain in the *** since she left FAtlantic's. I do however have a lot for Sabine.
I posted that only as a news item.

Does anyone know how Speedsource did at the Daytona test this past weekend? I went to Grand Am's website but couldn't find a press release that specifically mentioned them. Seems like one of the Porsche teams was fastest in the GT class during testing.
