Got an STI sooner than i expected thanks to the market conditions. I would hold off on all GM products until it becomes clear if the company will declare bankruptcy. I expect the car values to dip like crazy at that point.

Haha, you know me man. I like cars that lack subtlety. Any Z06 I get would be made loud as f*ck, and obviously the viper is about as subtle as being hit by a bus.

There's something about imperfection that endears me.

A bmw z4 coupe. That car is brilliant.

Oh and Stealth, I think you should get the FJ out of those two cars.

In the next few months there WILL be a steady stream of (lucky) people who had their lease end, and their buy-out is now unrealistic - they will ALL bail and leave the hapless lease company to unload the remnants at fire sale prices......

Used, a '06 Z-06 or a '07 Cayman S hands down!
I don't think you're gonna get much of a discount on a 370 anytime soon, it is the current 'hot' car and dealers aren't having any trouble moving them.

Also in general I don't think we're going to see much bigger discounts than normal on new cars, the manufactures are just lowing production to match demand. They would rather sell fewer cars for a higher profit per unit.... that makes a lot more sense than churning a whole bunch out and losing $10k on each one due to discounts.

I've decided to buy another house instead. The bottomed out housing market and near zero interest rates have us drooling.

My next car will be an Acura RL used, because of the massive depreciation, with the new baby and all.

Probably an 06 or 07 for around 20k...maybe less as the economy blows right now and I see cars selling for prices I thought I'd never see.

I need something comfortable, with four doors and the awd on the RL is nice.

I wonder if the price of beaters is actually going up?

I bet there's a higher demand for shitboxes than high end sports sedans. Okay, maybe that's taking it little too far...

My uncle was looking to replace his 2000 Audi A4 1.8T. He got a 2009 base white 328i 6AT for $32,800 including destination, excluding tax/fees. This was lower than invoice. He seemed to be smitten with the 3-Series. I liked it but thought the 08 G35 w/premium pkg was better equipped and way faster.
