Nissan 370Z pictures
I really dig how they basically took the 350Z and combined its design with a lot of the wonderful parts of the old 240 and 280Zs, especially the cabin being slid so far back... much sexier car than the 350 for sure

As much as I love the 8, its obviously no longer a comparison in performance.

According to MotorTrend, the weight went up another 100 lbs to 3355 lbs. So the 370z's weight has gone up from the initially reported 3050 lbs to 3250 to 3355 lbs.
So good news! The future rotary car will maintain one advantage: weight and handling balance. But my prediction is it won't be anything close to 2700 lbs. Maybe 2850 lbs, if we're lucky.

you should read the edmunds review too

the MT car was loaded with stuff not base weight and they were comparing to the nismo 350z not the regular z.

Its funny how some how critiques are still comparing the R3 to the Z. It still amazes me how "drivers feel" still causes critiques to pick the rx8 over most other sports cars even though we're slower than a Camry V6 and our handling isnt any where close to the 370 as far as numbers go.
I guess fun factor is the most important part of any car

We put a base on the scales: https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...8&postcount=90
The Z cars have always been front heavy. As I posted we did not level our scales, but I would expect the number only gets worse as they prep the car for the track - most guys report being able to save 30lbs with exhaust, and that would be all off of the back.

theyve always advertised that 53/47 weight distribution claiming it goes to 50/50 under WOT and if you apply brakes it gives you more traction for steering.
I still dont think that cleaver excuse covers the understeer

Base 16x next generation rotary car needs to be about 2750 lbs, so that GT would be about 2850 lbs. I wonder if Mazda can do it.

not sure if this maybe a repost...
the auto-blipping feature seems pretty cool for the MT models.
the 370Z is really starting to grow on me.
