I am hearing through the grapevine that there is a "new Mazda Sports Car" on display at the Detroit Auto Show. Can anyone get in there during "supplier days", take a photo and post before they open to the public? Would be nice to get an advance viewing (besides, I'm not sure if I want to drag my butt down to Detroit in the cold just to see the show). I wonder if it is the RX-7 concept...

 

I have a feeling it's the new Miata.

 

Its the MX-Crossport. not a sports car but a crossover vehicle meant to be very sporty on the road

You are probably right, but I will probably have to go to the show and find out for sure because my wife said the local TV news were covering the show today and that they had a silver-colored car that they showed in the news story. We shall see...

 

New MX5/Miata is due soon, so maybe?

Nope - the new NC MX-5 is scheduled to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. Nobody will be seeing it before then, sorry!
