Hey all,

Just wanted to gather your opinions on the Vitara? Been looking into 4WD, as I'll be needing to drive this vehicle through -30 to -40 deg C weather and several feet of snow, on road conditions that arent exactly the greatest.

Obviously most would look into larger SUV's such as 4runners or at least Xterras, however I'd like something a little more gas economical, like a Rav4 or CRV. It will have to be second hand also.

The Rac4 and CRV looked like good candidates, 4WD decent on gas, but they seem to hold value quite well and their resale is quite high. I've seen several Vitara's going for thousands less than the other two vehicles. My question is, has anyone here owned one? Are they approx. on par in terms of reliability? How good on gas are they in real world conditions?
