is mazda taking the flared fender thing too far? Next thing you know miata's will have the rx8/cx7/cx9/mazda6 fenders...

Didn't know if you were kidding, but the miata already has the 8 fenders..
On a personal note, I like the front end on the euro version. The tail lights remind me of the lexus es and the trunk lid to bumper relationship seems a bit more subtle on the european version.

I like the Euro/Japan version better

US Trunk, Tail and Head Lights are different compare to Euro, but Euro/Jap. looked better.

Like other said, head light of is too small, it just looks weird when you have a large front. Don't know what Mazda was thinking designing specific one for NA market when the Euro/Japan is perfect the way it looks.

I don't think it looks good or bad. It does look vanilla. It probably will do well with the masses.

 

euro version looks way better but honestly, the style of the current 6 looks better to me.

I thought the spy shot / concepts of it looked really good, but this looks horrible. It's like they made a $9,000 version of the Mazda3, put CX-7 fenders on it and made it taller.

It's weird that the silver one looks a lot better than the red one.

 

WTF is up with Mazda these days? They appear to have sold their creative souls to the beancounters and are just throwing unnecessary plastic on all their models. A shame.

Glad I already have an '02 Mazda6 and an '05 RX-8 in my stable, because I wouldn't buy the new versions.

 

+1 current 6 design. Who's idea was it to merge the 8 style fenders with the entire lineup? The miata kind of has it, but not as much as the new 6 if you look carefully at the lines.

 

It looks like they just chopped the sides flat. I dont like it, would have to see it in person.

 

the back looks kinda hot.... But im NOT feeling the front.... But it doesent matter to me because the rx-8 is the closest I will come to owning a 4 door car.

 

yeah, the back looks really good. The front needs bigger headlights and maybe a chrome grille.

 

This thread isn't about the rx8.

 

This car is very nice. Nothing in the family sedan class comes close, except the Malibu, and MAYBE the Altima SE.

 

What the hell happened!? Where the hell is that sexy car they've been showing off all over the place? Mazda can't possibly be stupid enough to dump this load of crap on us. No, I refuse to believe it. This is a joke. It has to be.
