Thanks for the feedback, people.
I looked up the safety ratings for the Z4 and S2000 on the NHTSA website. The Z4 has only 3 stars for side impact safety while the S2000 has 5 stars.
Still have to stop by my insurance agent and find out how much more the M is going to cost. The S2000 costs about $200/6 months more than what I am paying for the RX-8.
As other posts mentioned, the Cayman S costs a lot more. Yes, the Boxter S is on my radar too. What's nice about the BMWs is the included maintanence for 4 years. From what I heard, the Porsche costs a lot to maintain. I might be wrong, have to research some Porsche forums.
