A Mustang you may actually like...
It's obvioulsy a concept so somewhat impractical, but it's the first Mustang I'd even consider buying:

Those seats are hilarious. I like it. That's how you update a classic design. You can see where it came from, but it still looks modern. They should consider this direction when they go for the next update, just fix the rear view. Those tail lights and the rear indentation don't look right.

the front looks awesome - the tail lights.... might need some work.
They should just set that interior on fire... or throw a few bales of hay in there for the cowskin seats. I love leather but thats just Fugly right there.
The instrument panel looks like *** too - if i wanted something that looked like it was from the 60s id go buy an old *** car. I realize this is the goal with retro but blah to most of it.
The word mustang doenst have any meaning anymore to me. I was sitting at a light and i was surrounded on all sides by no less then 4 mustangs, at ONE light. Too common for me.

wow... just WOW!
but yeah, the seats have got to go.
I would hope that Mazda would consider an orange style color/paint scheme for the next generation of cars. I really like how it looks here, though it may be too much for everyday consumption.

The "sun roof" is cool as is the taillights! The seats, however, make me want a glass of milk! They look itchy and too "broke-back mountain" for my taste. The Lambo doors as kinda cheesy too. They're called Lambo doors cause they only really look cool on a Lamborghini, IMO.
All in all, I like the direction US cars are going. The "sharp-retro" shapes are cool. The new Challenger (Dodge) and Camaro (Chevy) are going that way too.

For anyone who didn't read after the pics, note that this is an Italian designed Mustang concept. Ford may completely ignore all the styling cues and go back to their losing ways.
I did read that some inside sources have stated that many of the cars in the Ford lineup are going to be refreshed in 2008/2009 with nicer interiors. Who knows to what extent and whether it's even true, but it would be a good start if they did. After recently borrowing $18 billion to try and make a good showing for the rest of the decade they're really running out of time.

LOL, those seats are very...I don't really know how to convey the feeling..."Bonanza?"
Interior is lackluster, and the whole rear end needs to go, but hot damn the front and side views AWESOME!

I think it looks nice, but if it's produced, it will be just like every other mustang.
There will be a Regular/GT/SVT/Cobra, and they will look pretty much the same to 99% of the population.
I almost bought a Cobra before the 8, but my wife liked the convertible better. (The convertible she looked at was the basic V6). That's when I realized, they were all the same to most people. I didn't want a car that blends in.

Ford would definitely never build this. Aside from the fact that it's an independent Italian firm that made it of course. It looks too good to be a Ford car. They can't have that.
I agree that the animal skin seats don't look that nice. Although I'd probably keep them just to **** PETA off! I'm also not wild about the doors but aside from that I like it. Now if they could just get rid of the Ford motor too! An Italian flat plane crank V8 sounds more like it.

Lambo doors look stupid on everything other than a lambo.....that includes the RX8.
This is an Italian take on an American muscle car. I like a lot of the styling......are those seats made of horse hides? That would make sense as a Mustang is a horse.....kinda weird though. 500hp is nice.

It looks like the Mustang (basic design) had an orgy with the Kabura (roof), the charger (rear quarter panels) and the EVO X concept ( side profile of the headlights)
The end result still looks OK, but it is so wrong in so many ways.....
Strip the interior and start from scratch though. the interior looks like an automotive gang rape if you ask me.

I'm not really feeling the taillights, but everything else (except those crazy seats) looks pretty damn good. I don't think this beauty will ever see the light of day though....

Reminds me of the Camaro Concept...something that will come into production looking much like the concept car, unlike this Mustang Mock-Up. If Ford goes this way with their 2008/09 refresh of the Mustang, I will be impressed.
Looks nice, never been a Ford guy though (yeah yeah yeah even though Mazda is owned by them). In going with RG, not a Ford engine fan, ew. Not a fan of the *** end either, kinda awkward.
