True on most stangs, but I read on the mustang forum There were some serious recalls and major repair on the 2005 stang, something to do with the engineering

TOD... no no... the idea which both you and he talk about is a"passive engineering." Thus the discussion about IRS and the V8 engine.
I agree... 300hp is not such a big deal, but at the price point that Ford offers it... that's pretty hot. I bet that they could have knocked the price of the car lower still if they had stuck with the 302 and just invested in further refining it. Oh well.
