Mustang 05 and options?

I just realized today, that all of the mustang coupes doesn't have moon/sun roofs...what is up with that? Do you guys think the 05 model will have moon/sun roof as an option for Gt?

I could be wrong, however, I'm not sure that I've ever seen a mustang with a sunroof. Personally I think they look fine without them, though after having a sunroof in my current car, I don't know what I would do without one... or vents/rear windows that allow more air to travel in the cabin.

As for the '05 model... I doubt it. With the redesign of the car, Ford is going back to old style... and there weren't sunroofs back in the day.

My brother had a '79 stang with a sunroof.

I'm doubting the "going back to old style" as a reason for not having a sunroof. Back in the day there was no airbags, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, power seats, etc. They are standard items now.

No Man, I don't think they'll have a sunroof available the first few years. Maybe later though.

A friend of mine has a 99 V6 Mustang with a sunroof--I believe that some dealers have them installed aftermarket.

Some dealers do install sunroofs as an aftermarket on models where that option is unavailable from the manufacturer. When I was looking for a car a while back a toyota dealership was willing to put in sunroof in a base corolla for an extra $2k ~ish ... we didn't go for that option.

yeah, you're right about the price range. ford'll do it too, has to be at a svt equipped dealership though, or it'll cost a lot more

i'm assuming svt dealership because the mechanics have more skill (ie: do a lot more than the "normal" mustangs)??
