DaimlerChrysler is currently testing at the Nürburgring a derivative of the CLK race car which ran in the German Tourenwagen Masters in 2003.

The AMG-developed street version will come to market as a small production line of 100 units. The two-seater is powered by a 5.5-liter V-8 kompressor from the SL55 AMG, putting out 580 horsepower. The sports car — named CLK DTM — weighs 165 pounds less than the CLK55 AMG, yet features equipment such as air conditioning, a roll bar, traction control, and ESP. In Europe, it will be sold via AMG starting this summer at a cost of $232,000 EUR, or roughly $278,000 USD.

Now thats a Benz I would like to have.
