I hope they find qualified workers. We in New England at my company can find enough workers that can pass: (1) simple basic skills test, (2) drug, (3) background check (due to chemicals we use on site). I mean this is really frustrating given candidates who sought out jobs. I've run into people down on their luck and always give them my business card with our HR Department Job line number that we use heavily for entry and skilled jobs at the plant (heck that number is also a text to email service - so not that hard). No one I gave out a business card ever turned into an offer and we pay well.
