By the time the manufacturer announces pre-order deposits you will likely be #5 or higher at your local dealer. Depends on hype of course but one need look no further back than the M2. Most dealers had waiting lists 30-40 people deep and some people had even put down deposits on the M2 CS in 2015 when the M2 was first announced. This was despite the fact that BMW had no plans for an M2 CS at that time and only within the last 2 or 3 months has it actually been announced.

The new RWD platform is rumored to spawn our next RX AND a RWD Mazda 6 equivalent. Depending on if this image is the newer Vison or not this could be either or both...

A RWD new platform for top end models (piston and rotary) would be great news for the Brand.
I will wait until press conference BTW, Shinari had a RWD look but Mazda 6 was FWD.
I don't presume nothing, RWD D class car is an huge leap for Mazda.
needs a proper transmission, AWD option, hybrid model too...etc.....

So we go from a stunning 2 door Vision to a 4 door Vision....I am going blind with this BS.
We should be seeing a bloody RE prototype not a concept.
And yep I call the new 3 more of a prototype as it is 12 months away and note the shorter bonnet (hood) as appears Mazda has done away with the 4 into one exhaust manifold (maybe) for the 3, just like the current 2.
Don't forget the cheap *** live/solid rear axle (like current 2), so we no longer have a fully independent suspension which is a first going back to since the RWD 323 of 1978 (Familia/Axela) or GLC.
New 3 rear suspension is very similar to the Capella 1600/RX-2 without a diff/housing and 1/2 axles, but coils/shocks and dual rear trailing arms, was actually a very good set up for a live axle.
I wonder what they will do IF they make an AWD?
