Vettes are awesome... if the Stinking new Camaro wasn't coming out, i would be so over a '06 Z-06 now... my wife wants a new Camaro in the worse way. I want one too, but i want a Z-06 even more. The Vette is so mod friendly!

Those new numbers from the new LS3 are impressive! Its a scary thought what the next Z-06 may put out.

I don't know much about this particular one, but I do know some folks around town with modded ls1's and ls7's and they get the same or better than I do. I think the worst number I remember hearing was like 18 or 19, and that's cause homedude has to drive into downtown to work every day or something. This can't be any worse than what we get, probably better actually.

I just bought a 2007 vette...and noticed a huge improvement in gas mileage over my rx8.

'vette is the only 'muhrican car I like. Looks great, handles well, lots of power.... just fix up the interior a bit and it'll be great!

i imagine the city driving mpg at 19-20, but my friend with a 02 SS ls1 gets about 28 mpg on the highway, and he has quite alot of upgrades.

Possibly a Camaro. Otherwise, no way.

do pre 70's chevy's count? I'd love to have a 64 or 65 impala, 53 5 window pickup, or a 55 2 door or 57 bel air, not to mention a Chevelle to retire off of as some of the orginal SS models are fetching 6 figures at auction (?)

I actually meant new Chevys? I think we'd all gladly pimp a '69 Camaro or '71 Chevelle. I just don't think, outside of the Corvette, many of us ever seriously consider a Chevrolet when it's time to go car shopping.

I got a chevy when I got rid of the RX8, but it wasnt somethign I was planning on. I was looking for full size cars/suvs since the wife was pregnant and I discovered the trailblazer SS. At least it has a corvette engine.

I like 60's camaro's and the new one, the rest are bleh, especially the 80's ones with the t-tops, those were awful...sadly. You can make those cars stupid fast for cheap though, so even if I don't like them, I still have respect for them

If Mazda offers an "R"X-8 with the vette's engine at the same price as the regular RX-8, I'll be buying one immediately.

Hmmm, I think a Z06 engine costs around 14k range. Not sure about the standard vette engine. Assuming you want a newer unit, I'm sure it'll cost more than the 3-4k that your renesis engine costs.
