LS3 Dyno numbers 2008 Vette
This is big news in the Corvette world... these are first dyno numbers for the new 2008 LS3 6.2L engine
The 2008 'BASE MODEL' Vette (LS3)
Bone stock LS3: 388 rwhp / 377 rwtq
Longtube headers and Tune: 423rwhp / 426rwtq

Yah but it's old fashion normally aspirated pushrod V8 with super flat power and torque curve. It's not hard at all to modulate that kind of power. It's not "peaky" at all... just lift the throttle a little and get back on it.

P.S. Damn. GM keeps doing making the Corvette better and better. I find myself caring less and less about the "gold chain" stigma and instead dreaming about how I could possibly upgrade to one.

so the new Vettes are already on the ground? geese, I didn't expect them this early And those headers make even more of a difference than on the LS6 (the only LS engine I have seen tuned first hand)!

Attached is an old dyno of mine from a healthy heads/cam, full bolt-on LS1 setup I used to run in my daily driven, built drivetrain 6sp Fbod a couple years ago. As you can see, the extra cubes, increased development of the factory heads, factory valvetrain, and factory intake manifold have gone a long way for the LS3. Nice numbers for the LS3!
