They are producing a +350k market car with 500 buyers, you do not need to alter a concept (or even produce one for that matter.)

Maybe it didn't meet crash standards? maybe it didn't meet pedestrian impact laws? maybe it produced lift at high speeds? who knows. I do know that I see a lot of Toyotas on the road, and not many dillsrotary branded cars. Engineering something for public consumption is not as easy as slapping an engine under some artists sheet metal and calling it a day.
