Just to give you an idea of how much the design of the Evo X could potentially change between now and the time it's released, check out this cool little gallery of the Evo VIII concepts

Not interested in the sportback version. The sedan looks really hot though...

Some additional info I found:
320 bhp according to this article:
SPDMAG
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X
Okay, so Mitsubishi was just teasing us with the Sportback Concept that the company showed at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It was a preview for the big thing: the actual Lancer Evolution X to be shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in late October. Mitsubishi handed out a photo of its Evo X Concept this week, and not only are we showing you this photo. We have information regarding the next-gen sports sedan that you won't find anywhere else.
Judging by the looks of the Evo X, the car will be slightly larger. But that's not to say it will be heavier. We hear that the curb weight of the car will remain relatively the same. Mitsubishi designers went all out with this car, giving it a very aggressive face. The most noticeable thing about the front fascia is the grille. No longer the small rectangular opening, the new grille is large, and a bit Audi-esque (with the bottom half going into the front bumper). The slim canted headlights probably won't make it to production, we expect larger more prominent headlights, like those on the current Evo.
Powering the Evo X will be the 4B11 all-aluminum engine. A new turbocharger will add power to the MIVEC-equipped 2.0-liter powerplant, and we hear that it will produce about 320 bhp. Look for the Evo X to go on sale sometime in 2007.
A different angle -

True alot of things look like a Murano now, B9, CX-7, New Rav 4. The overall shape is similar of course the sportback looks much better. The curve of the rookline is more rakish but on the Sportback but the general shape is a squished murano or any of the other's I named IMO. Perhaps by the 2006 Tokyo Autoshow more details will be out.

the curved TL look is absolutely AWSOME .. id love to have it
now for the rants .. its missing a piece of the bumper in front .. the squinted eyes are a little to asian for me .. and the hood is just bent gaywards with a stupid looking snorkle
i dont know why the rear spoiler looks fatter in the middle but thats wrong too
except for these few minor things .. it looks like a beast
very alfa like if you think about it .. wonder if pininfarina had their hands in this?

This is the reason why I settled for IX instead of X.
Some people say X looks better than IX, but I like the traditional version looking IX's actually. And the new X ditching beloved 4g63 and coming up with an aluminum block also turned me off. Not to mention I had to wait so long to get one anyway..
I'm satisfied with my IX and its platform so no need for X for me.
My IX as stock dynoed 248whp/252wtq on dynojet. Mistu said ~280bhp? go figure

I’ll just have to pinch a few pennies and convince the wife. While I love the performance of the IX or a WRX STi I’m in the other camp, I couldn’t abide the styling. That’s one of the reasons I like the RX-8, beautiful exterior and interior styling. It’s limitations for me are no full-size four doors (they did great to get the demi-doors in and keep the coupe look), light on HP, no AWD and the gas mileage is a tad lower than I’d like.
I don’t expect to see any real details until the end of this year. We might be surprised and it could come in at 32-33k. It’s all open to wonderful speculation.
I think I enjoy searching for my next car as much as I like driving my existing one.
