Towards the back pages of the thread he says that he wants to drop the new LS7 to replace his LS1 bringing the numbers to around 630-710 TO THE WHEELS.

I think the best part about this car is that it is so well done he says it is like driving a stock GTO with just that much more power. The power is always there and the new rims and tires keep his car planted from a dig. (the weight also helps..)

Some other guy posted an awesome link with a video of an older Z06 vette that was also twin turboed. That thing put out about 1000HP at engine and 700-800 to the wheels for HP and TRQ.

I am not comparing these cars to eachother or any other car for that matter. This is not a discussion about what car you would rather own in the world or if another car is faster. I simply do not care what anyone else has to say about a modded EVO or STI or RX-8 so please don't talk about them. This is simply just for admiring an amazing accomplishment and some awesome gut wrenching HP and TRQ....

Lingenfelter has released quality products for years. They make upgrading Corvettes simple - but not cheap.

 

I think you mean Grand-AM. It does have hood scoops you know :D

That is an ugly car I would not drive it even if it had 1000hp a shot flames out the exaust and cooked me breakfast.

 

it should be like driving a stock GTO, when you have 5.7L/6.0L (ls1/ls2) and you only have to make 5psi it should come in pretty low.

the newer 400hp GTO is already pretty beasty.

 

Whoa whoa calm down sir. It's certainly a sleeper regarding the performance/looks ratio. As much as I like the GTO's performance, I won't spend 33G on a car that looks much like every other pontiac.

I have great respect for Lingenfelter though, they do a great job tunning Vettes especially. Take a look at some of the movies on this page.

That's an '04 in the picture. The mean scoops didn't appear until '05 I believe.

You are correct. I didn't realize it was an '04. Although I believe towards the end of the model year they were retrofitting them w/the hoods to help sell the 04s.

 

I would think a retrofit of the 6.0 liter engine and dual exhaust would help sell them a little better. But I heard the hood scoops added more horses than both those, so hey, sounds like the '04 buyers got the better end of the deal.

 

Hmm. 5 psi at each cylinder bank, and the Goat is putting down 500 hp at the wheels? Interesting. Doesn't seem physically possible, and no I'm not going to do any math.

Doesn't LPE use Garrett turbochargers? My guess is they're GT28Rs.

 

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but the 05's come stantard with the hood scoops....

Also I think with the new Sport Apperance Package on the 05's they look pretty good. Not RX-8 good, but good. :p

 

Just a question, why on earth did you put lambo doors on an RX8???

I forgot. I should've made a link to this twin-turbo Mustang. Personally, the setup is kind of corny. I think the tried to make long intake runners but wound up sticking the plenums out of the car through a cut-out.
