How do you feel about buying a Scion? (FT-86)
#52
They haven't released but Subaru wants to keep the FR setup instead of AWD and hopefully tossing a turbo in the mix. Toyota was also talking about offering a turbo version as well... Only time will tell.

It's a Cavalier
The Subie might have the first turbo version, but I bet if safe to say that Scion will be first to market overall.

^^^ the Supra is fat, and dated, and takes alot of money to go as fast as some newer models, let it die...
If the most recent pics translate to production I will definitely be buying one so much to like about the lines of this car...
If I had to guess on what may not make it to the production model I would say the headlights would keep their footprint but be a more traditional xenon/high beam housing and I don't think the reverse duct in front of the hood, as well as the bump out detail on the rear window and the mirrors will gain some weight, those would be the features that would be cut on the production floor
What will be interesting will be the price point, Scions are usually bargain bin cars, I could see this base modeling at $30K

The Supra Mark IV was a game changer, and I hope Toyota is successful with the FR-S in there target market. Reintroducting an affordable sports car could also lead to more Supra-esque cars that don't cost $400K (LFA).

The car is beautiful , I hope alot of the concept design cues makes it into the production based vehicle. This concept and the first concept i really like , the second one not so much, the second one looks like a stretched Tc IMO.

Superb looking car, thus far. Though for me to even consider this car, I'd have to be impressed with the actual build quality, and most importantly... The test drive.
As picky as I am, my RX-8 did it for me... So my expectations are slightly high.

Yeah, especially for a bunch of guys that drive Mazdas.
Sorry, but I don't really care whose badge is on it. If I like the car, it meets my needs and the price is right, I really don't care if the badge says it was made by the Hitler-Manson-Dahlmer Car Company.

Figured I'd add the comment that I understand why people wouldn't want to associate with the brand. I've recently discovered that there's a scion community called "scikotics" and I can't help but shake my head when I see that on some of the scions around here. That's one of those things that tries to be cool but fails because it's trying too hard. I don't really have any first hand experience, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy the general scion community.
Even with that, I'd still be willing to buy a scion if it was actually a good enough car. I'd still probably avoid the community unless necessary...
