That wasn't even the irritating part. It was the fact that she kept honking at me. I couldn't go immediately because two idiots on bicycles thought it was more fun to use the car lane instead of the bike lane right next to us! After I could finally start moving (mind you it was only at about 5-8 MPH) she kept right on honking!!! She kept on honking the whole way across the bridge even though I was going the posted speed at this time and the bicyclists actually went where they were supposed to be. I don't know if she was too stupid to see the bicyclists or what but it clearly was not my fault and she is getting all pissed off at me. She followed me across the bridge and into downtown and when it was obvious we had to wait awhile for the crane to lift materials up to the top of the condos they are building, she gets out of the car, comes up to my window (which was partially down) and then starts yelling at me for driving like a "**** sack" (whatever that meant) and ruining her whole day!!!! What a nut case. I told her there were people on bicycles in front of me and I couldn't very well run them down. She said she didn't care if there was a wall in front of me and I should have moved faster anyway!!!!

I think they lie when they say Portland is a bike-friendly city. Everyone I know hates them and wishes they could run them over. LOL

This lady's plates said she was from California so I figured she just must have been born bitchy. I thought it was more than a little extreme to actually get out of her car to come yell at me for driving too slow. Jeez, people. Take a pill!!!
How do you know that she was honking at you and not the bicyclers? Maybe she was honking for them to get out of the way because you were a little more courteous and not using the horn.

Well, after the bikers got in their own lane at the entrance to the bridge and out of our way she kept right on honking behind me the whole way. She then got out of her car to yell at me when we were stopped waiting for the construction. I figure it must have been she was cranky at.

There are a bunch of idiots like that in Savannah. My brother lives there and I am only an hour or so away.

A few weeks back, I was on a business trip to Houston in a rental and driving like an old man ((just enjoying how quiet and comfortable a car can be...forget how it feels in my midpipe 8 :o)). Anyways I pull up to a light and its marked as one of those "do not turn right on red", now in my 8 I would of turned, but with it being a rental and all I sit at the light. Next thing I know this crazy *** asian woman starts honking at me. After about a minute of straight honking ((long light)) her husband gets out and bangs on the car window, he then tries to pull the door open using the handle when I won't turn towards him. He then proceeds to pull door open ((apparantly the car doesn't have automatic locks when you drive just like the 8)).... I look towards him and he just starts cussing me out in this broke-*** version of english, I calmly take off my seatbelt and step out of the car, he places his hand on my shoulder and pushes it, as if he wanted to fight. Now im not a big guy at all stand around 5'8" 5'9", but I was furious I took his 5 foot flat butt and litterally grabbed him by the shirt and slammed him against the rear car door, I then calmly get in my car and leave the scene. Later that night I had Chinese take out...that is all...

My doors don't automatically lock when I start driving. I have to lock them myself.

Check these out: these are big within the Subaru community, and I think mostly a word of mouth thing - so I thought I'd share: they are 118 dB hella supertone horns made in germany. Sound clips dont do them justice, they are higher pitched than most horns but if you are 10 feet in front of the car they can make your ears ring.

All you need is a place to mount them; Im not familiar with the front of the RX-8; but there should be someplace; and then you have to wire it up to the battery using the included relay.

I got these for the same reason this thread was created - bad drivers **** you off, and the stock horns dont cut it (well i dont mean these are what the lady should have had but you coulda blasted her when she passed you). Ive only had them on for a few days, but they get peoples attention! Plus $65+installation is cheaper than the court settlement after you get so pissed off you beat the living crap out of them instead of just blastin em

What about when someone shoots you in the face for blasting them with those horns?

Good point :/

That's when I engage the turbo/run them over

They arent air horns or anything, but they have been called obnoxious. But hey, horns are supposed to get your attention, and the normal ones dont do a damn thing to that bitch (no offense ladies) in her Yukon XXXXXXXXXL yakking on her cellphone and switching lanes at random.

I think if its a 20-40yo female yakking on a cell phone they shouldnt be packing any heat.. or wouldnt be able to hit anything with it, but yeah I definetly wouldnt go into downtown detroit and start randomly honking at people.
