Got Low Idle?

Dropped off my 8 at the dealership this morning to see if they can track down an issue i have been having. I have noticed lately that when the car is nice and warmed up, like after freeway driving, at idle it drops to like 750 or 800 rpm and sounds like crap.

It sort of rumbles like it is going to die like my old 77' VW Rabbit used to and i could swear that i can hear a metalic clanking noise. Anyone else have any trouble like this.

The dealership just called a minute ago and said they did some updates and put in some higher temp spark plugs and they think it is fixed. I am dubious.

No, you're the only RX-8 owner to ever have this problem.

Thanks for the link. When i did a search under "low Idle" i didn't get those.

It takes a cultured man to truely appreciate fine sarcasm. Subtle, yet effective. Snaps.

Nifty. Got a new and decidedly more powerful starter under warranty. Idle seems to be fixed to.
