The turbo is nice, but come one now, we don't need AWD on a car that already has tons of understeer. Get the GT2 or GT3

porsche's have tons of understeer? since when? every porsche i've driven has been almost squirrely on the oversteer factor.

It looks FAST.

And I love the end of the article, where they describe the passing power of that car

You are correct, largely due to the RR format, Porche 911s are known to oversteer rather than understeer.

Not to mention this one is AWD as well. But understeer in an AWD isn't the same as understeer with RWD.

The rear engine layout can cause oversteer on trailing throttle as you balance a car mid corner, but typically, because the weight is swung out so far back, the front wheels don't get much grip and the cars tend to plow a lot. This is common knowledge for how 911's handle. they can especially tend to understeer under throttle, as this accentuates the rear weight bias as weight gets shifted even more away from the fronts.

But this porsche is everything the GT-R isn't.

It's got telepathic steering feel, uses natural physics dynamic, requires serious driver skill, and it can be both the most rewarding and most frustrating car all at the same time.

I can hop in a GT-R right now and get a decent lap time, whereas I would crash the 911 probably within the first 2 corners.

you've driven one, or both cars? also, what is/are "natural physics dynamic?"

i think this is the quintessential daily driver-supercar. I've driven a few year old Turbo Cabrio S and jesus. the thing is comfortable and MOVES.

Very nice. So much more appealing than GT-R.

No I have not driven one, but if that's what all the magazine writers say, I believe them.

I know magazine racing is frowned upon, but unlike most of you expert drivers, I know the magazine writers can drive better than myself. If most of them think the 911 is a handful when pushed, chances are, I would not do any better.

Beautiful car , I learn to respect them more the more I watch them on the race track. I have a feeling that car would be so much fun to drive in the twisties.
