Enigma Concept: could it work?

New take on a 3 wheeler.

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/16/a...oncept-enigma/

And now for something completely different. If designer Tan Sohanpall set out to create a new concept vehicle that shared little in common with other accepted designs, then he succeeded. Sure, there have been three-wheeled vehicles since the early dawn of transportation, but few if any have ever featured two wheels on one side and one with a wider contact patch on the other. We have serious doubts as to whether this arrangement would actually work in the real world, but as a concept it's pretty cool. The Enigma is intended to be a car for thrill-seekers, and it looks the part.

Other unique bits include a single-occupant driver compartment that slides rearward at high speeds and a tilting body that could theoretically lean into turns. There's no indication of what would actually power the Enigma, but it looks like some sort of turbine or ducted fan arrangement. Interesting? Undoubtedly. Realistic? Not so much, but so what? As a concept, we love its asymmetric audacity.

what ever it is, looks freaking awesome .looks like something out of starwars. as for the question, hmm not my department lol. but from looking at it, it looks like it would be hard to turn. but like i said, not my department

but when i look at the right wheel, think it would make right hand turns easy though. since the wheel in the middle. maybe this this future of nascar. :P

It looks like the driver is sitting in the center of a turbine... that could be problematic.

Also, the axles seem to be off center...

Cool rendering though

I like the sketchs..

if you look at it right you can see where the designer first started tripping off lsd.. just follow it left to right the first few sketches on the left are 0 minutes then 30 mins goes by and you get the middle then @ 40 minutes and @90 mins into the design bingo you have a 3 wheeled tie fighter. win!!!

I am assuming the car is supposed to lean/roll on the ball joint of the single wheel for stability and cornering. It could easily be powered with a motorcycle engine mounted in the rear.
