sigh...check out this thread

sure there may be some on the road, (highly unlikely, but possible) but if you're telling me that yellow one is a z06 then get off the crack, MAYBE the blue one is, but it's REALLY hard to tell in those vids, especially considering none of those cars (except the yellow one) got numbers close to what z06 is supposed to get. I've been following this car closely as I dream of owning one someday so if I'm wrong? fine, it's all good. I'm still having a hard time believing those are the real deal when even the vette guys (some of whom who were there when that was filmed) are saying they are not. oh and arguing on the internet sucks, and I'm not going to fall into the dark pit of useless activity any further so that's all I have to say about any of this mess and you can believe what you want, hopefully you're right and it makes you feel good about your self

I skimmed that link and didn't see any talk about his video, maybe the wrong link??
one of my previous posts clearly said that the yellow one is not a z06. So get off the crack and get on hooked on phonics

Hmmm... it looks like a duck (hood scoop, fender flares), it walks like a duck (fast times)... so why wouldn't it be a duck?
Two things:
1. Company employees (usually execs) frequently get their hands on these kinds of vehicles before their release to dealers. Try driving around Dearborn, MI on a daily basis and you'll see plenty of vehicles before they officially hit the roads.
2. When the yellow one zips past, notice the absence of the gap from the removable roof panel. The fixed roof is the strongest telltale of the Z06.
Case closed.

I saw a C6 back in Scottsdale, AZ back in Sept. '04, which is before deliveries took place if I'm not mistaken, with manufacturer plates being driven by a 'regular' guy.

But really, Canary, I don't think anyone wsa really getting riled up about this... I was just pointing out strong evidence of a bona fide Z06. Now that I think about it, it doesn't neccessarily prove anything as it could technically be a C5 Z06 (which also has the fixed roof) which has some sort of crazy C6 Z06 body kit. Of course, that would have to be a crazy body kit, especially to transform the headlights from flip-up to fixed.
Anyway, none of this is really a big deal...
