Car starts but no power and does not run long
Hi, I'm pretty new to the site but not new to my Rx8. I have had it for 4 years and have been pretty good on the upkeep. I just recently replaced the spark plugs and wires so I don't believe they are the issue.
It was a short hop to the Px for a few supplies. I know you should normally let the engine get warm, but the weather has been nice so I didnt think it would be a problem. I came back out to the car and tried to start it. Fail. I preformed the flooding procedures and managed to get it to start. Oh, the service engine is flashing by the way. It was running very rough and seemed like on only one rotor? I tried to see if I could limp it back to the barracks parking lot but I only made it 20 feet. Trying to give it gas just made it shut off. Normally i would take it to my fathers shop and trouble shoot it but I dont have a lot of time. And the shop on post isnt open when it should be and not open long. I dont want to pay the storage fees to keep it there since I dont know how long I can work on it. Any ideas of what the problem might be would be a huge help. Im thinking fuel. Maybe a pump or filter. Im still learning the motor. Rotors are tricky but I love it.

This should be in Trouble section. Please give us all the info on your car, miles, year, service done, mods, etc. You need to get the code read to see the problem. If it has been running fine since you installed the plugs and wires I would recommend replacing the coils. You could recheck the wires connection.
