probably because majority of the parts are non-mazda (wheels are enkei, SC is cosworth, intake is Flyin' Miata, etc etc) and they would have to pay royalties out the bum.

 

haven't heard of this model before, but after seeing that 0-60 vid, I love the Engine Note.

I'm wanting to wait around for the reveal of the 4th gen to see if they go back to the smaller, lightweight specs that the 1st Gen was known for, but these 3rd gens are really growing on me. Seems like these are all parts that are easily available for the car too (Not too sure about the Cosworth SC though.)

Basically, I'd drive the **** out of that thing. Looks awesome.

 

That is one nice and fast mx-5. I'd take it.

 

They should build it...it looks very sporty.
