Crew cab is a full 2 doors, with full second row seating. King cab is a suicide door, with smaller rear seats that fold up.

The Xterra is a on a very short list of vehicles that may supplement or even replace my 8 next year. It's highly respected and fairs quite well in every test I've read.

Here are some write-ups worth reading:

Anyway, I'm still surprised that no one posted any show-stoppers for the Xterra. None?

My buddy's `98 PathFinder has aged far better with far fewer problems than my wife's `98 Grand Voyager so I guess I'm not surprised.

Any other current Xterra owners out there want to give good or bad shouts out?
My physical therapist had a 2003 Xterra and he loved it. I noticed the other day that he's driving a 2005/6. I haven't had a chance to ask him about it yet, so I don't know how he likes it compared to the previous one.

I will say this, from everything I've read, most people that have driven/owned both like the new model a lot more than the old. It's got more power and (IMNSHO) looks better.

If you look hard enough you can find used 05's. Plus now is a good time ot buy since Nissan is trying to clear out their old stock to make room for the new stuff.

Thanks. I like the comparo between the Xterra and the FJ. I'm a big fan of the FJ, he won't go for it because he want's a manual. A manual in the FJ would be awesome.

Congrats on the Aztek Cool-Blue.

I called the guy and asked him why he told me that, apparently he meant that they only had automatics on their lot at the time. Silly kid.
