Ehhh...I've accomplished the samething with my first RX-8 and a piece of **** K&N Typhoon intake. In fact one time when I went WOT underneath a highway (very very short tunnel), some Civic owner caught up with me at a stoplight and screamed at me...'Holy **** is that a V10 or something?'

Ike,
Although I can find you one from the street that you would enjoy, please don't limit the comparisons of F1 engines to street rotaries. Let's be fair.

as an ex subie owner I can tell you they sound nice in turbo form but na with a header they soun like volswagen beatle ( the old one) only louder.

I allways get a lot of compliments about the sound of my car even from ferraris, lambo and domestic v8 owners, its all in the mufler I have a mazdaspeed one and streight 3" pipe.

Ummm not a single one of the clips I used was from an F1 car... Also, I'm not the one that brought up F1 cars and Ferraris in the first place.

A-******-men to that. Best sounding, non race car, engine I have ever heard. Absolutely incredible. I like the videos Nemisis posted, though that car looks like ****.

I can't find the video I was looking for, but this one is fun to watch, Da Porsha Garrara Gee Tee!!

The Carrera GT's engine was originally intended for racing application.

Also, I think you're going a bit overboard by saying they sound better than any F1 or Ferrari engine. Here's a few clips, find me any street driven rotary that sounds anywhere near as good.

One in a tunnel since you guys posted one

Just so you think I'm not only partial to F40s and F50s...

I also think the Carrera GT sounds better than any Ferrari I've ever heard.
