The headlights are ugly as all get out. I really hope they go away. But if the numbers are true they're actually doing what everyone out there says they want (more power, lighter weight). Now we'll actually get to see if people are just saying that just to seem like a purist or if they really are.

I know. I keep thinking that the headlights won't look like that but look at the new Maxima. I just got Car and Driver in the mail and what they show is similar but not as good looking as the R & T pic. I do like the crisp beltline.

Kudos to the more power and light weight - Nissan doesn't want to get on the path the '80's Z took by getting heavier and sloppier.

I can't wait to see a more powerful Z that weighs as much as my 8. I just hope they can keep the price down.

damn.. they are really going after Porsche hard...,

they publicly declared the GT-R was gunning for the 911 turbo... now they are publicly gunning for the Cayman S. (which lapped nurburgring faster than the 911).

Porche can't be happy about this...

the next gen rx sports car will not have it easy

I remember reading somewhere that Nissan was going to come out with a 450z with a 4.5L V8.. But this was a while ago.

Yeh but it also mentions no turbo for the initial release, so assuming those figures are right 250bhp, thats still fair bit behind. But damn that looks sexy.

First off the Nissan is really pissing me off with these odd ball looking Z cars. Goshen is really F-ing the Z car up. Lighter and more Hp doesn't make it a Z car, especially when its sharing all its parts with its lesser sibblings. Design has been totally thrown out the window, the more the years go by with Goshen as lead command, the more Nissan cars are starting to look like Peugot designs!

Its sickening how the beloved Z car is degrading into a generic looking car. The 90's Z cars will always be the golden years for the Z car.

Now for the RX-7 concept ..... this one is similiar to the grey one.

More work on the grey RX-7 front end , and it will be one sexy car like the red one. IMO I think they should keep the 5 point nose, as that is Mazda's brand image now. The subtle 5 point nose on the grey needs to be sharpen to reflect Mazda's image.

It will appear, just not in this generation rotary car, wait for the next rotary car around 2010. I am sure hope your joking on the 370Z, that car looks like the bottom of my shoe..... which isn't pretty at all.

for looks, i prefer the current 350z over the 370. Just like i prefer g35 over g37. all the cars are looking like the Altima Coupe.

From now, it's ugly. But WAY too early to tell. Lets hope some newer shots do it some more justice.

I agree with this 100%, the older generations are much nicer.

Lighter and faster, good job Nissan. I like the 350z even today and this looks the same more or less. Until it grows another couple of seats its worthless to me. Too bad.

Mazda makes such stunning cars. Nissan makes such stunted cars.
