The STI and Evo are all about fun and raw performance. Any real car enthusiast and anyone that has actually driven one of these cars knows that they're all about fun and raw performance. Saying they're "stats toys for imbeciles" is something only an imbecile would say.

yeah it maybe be ugly but whats nice about the wrx to other cars out there is its difference, same for the 8 different then everyone else out there. but when they do release the evo x that will be sick.

 

Saying driver comfort, etc of the 8 as being a part of performance indicator is fair enough but the imbecile part should be left out since there are true enthusiasts among car owners of any kind.

Ok, let it go man. You're sounding more pathetic by every post. There's a difference between constructive criticism of a car, and deliberate bashing. All I read was a bunch of disrespect. That's what separates you from IKE and STIEric. The difference between guys like you and guys like them is that they actually know what they are talking about when it comes to cars, and offer true insight with some objectivity. Maybe I'll just buy back my 04 RX8 so I can own the car that's way better then any other car out there. There are lots of great cars. At least once a day someone posts a thread about how much they love their 8 and that it is the greatest car in the world. These threads turn into a big circle jerk with 8 owners patting themselves on the back for being so smart to buy such a great car. They get a chuckle out of me, but I don't go into those threads to "bash" the 8. You are the one who goes into STi/Evo threads with the sole purpose of bashing the cars. You have made it quite clear that you are a childish little baby who is insecure with his 8 when it is compared to an STi or Evo. You are also adept at sharing your complete lack of knowledge of these cars. I hope you keep posting just so that everyone can see what a moron you are. However, I guarantee that if you did not come into these threads and bash the cars by saying incorrect, moronic things (like Stat Toys for Imbeciles), you would not hear from me.

Again, I think the 8 is a great car for what it is. It's fanbois like yourself who try to make the 8 out to be something more than it is and are so insecure about their car that you need to bash other cars that are annoying. I'm very happy that we got this car for my wife. She is very happy with it. It looks prissy and feminine. It has enough power to be fun but not enough to get in trouble with. It's fun to drive. It has a nice set of features (she really wanted a sunroof, leather, and heated seats). All at a reasonable price. Yep, it's a great chick car. It's like a RWD 3rd gen Eclipse.

Meh, you had me until you started calling the 8 a chick car. You try to defend yourself under the guise of objectivity and then level a subjective and clearly asinine remark. To me, with posts like that, you're no better than the people you seem to war against.

 

Thats nothing new Saturn, Eric has always been like this, he is the inspiration for my STI comment. Otherwise, I actually know a STI owner who is a great guy, though I still don't care for the car.

Go ahead and find something, we're waiting. I know one fact I said that you don't like: from a rolling start, an RX-8 is slower than a Honda Odyssey minivan. It is objective, it can be measured, it has been measured, and it's a fact. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it any less true.

Has it occurred to you that the vast majority of car enthusiasts love the STi and Evo? Everywhere I go - to meets, at work, out on the town, etc, everyone tells me what an awesome machine the STi and how they'd like one. The only people I find who hate on the car are e-thugs and fanbois like yourself who hide like cowards behind their keyboards.

This is what I typically expect from you. You don't want to hear the truth so you shut your eyes and plug your ears. I'll give you the CNs: 1) I don't go into threads with the express purpose of bashing on the RX-8. I just retaliate when idiots like yourself make moronic comments about things they know nothing about. 2) RX-8 is a good chick car.

I've called every single one of you out to show me once where I've outright bashed the RX-8 yet you guys can't come up with a single post. Something tells me you did care enough but then realized you couldn't find a damn thing. Since I bash the RX-8 so often, according to you, it should be really easy to find something, it will probably take less time than it would to type up another one of your misinformed posts.

I represent myself just fine, you however whine, fling personal insults, and bash cars you've never even driven. I can take it just fine and I'm dishing it right back, as is everyone else participating in this thread, so I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

If you're looking for a car around 30k and don't even consider the STI or Evo you're not much of an enthusiast if you ask me, at least not when it comes to performance.

 

Statements like that are just non-comments. I could just as easily say that the STi is a good car for guys who are insecure with themselves.

If you can't recognize that a comment like "good for chicks" doesn't imply something derogatory to a bunch of dudes then I guess we'll all just go around "implying" things without actually saying them. Should work out quite nicely.

The 8 isn't prissy and feminine, by the way. It's stylish, unique, and interesting looking. But then again this is an opinion. I could just as easily say that the STi is unimaginative, cheap, and boring. Or I could say that it's a no-nonsense platform borrowed from another model in the interest of price for the sake of raw performance.

If you're going to be an *** about the RX-8 on an RX-8 forum, don't expect other people to pull punches.

 

I don't doubt for a second that Mazda is targetting females with the RX-8 moreso than Subaru and Mitsubishi are with the STI and Evo, I even had a sales manager claim that to be true based on one of his national sales meetings. Hell, it's a smart move if you ask me. I however wouldn't call the RX-8 a chick car.
