in the march or april motortrend they wrote a little article about this car (concept-e) and they said it will not have the electric boost engine and will most likely have a v6..But they reported it will look almost like the concept....its a pretty sweet car if they produce it

 

It actually looks a lot like the third generation of eclipses (97-99) to me - I like the side opening hatch. Bet it will be a V6.

I think this is by far the hottest, cleanest looking design they've put out in 10 years. I think they should build it. Every car in their current line is ugly. And that includes the EVO. Fast as hell, but ugly.

 

i had a 1997 eclipse GSX turbo loved it. the current look sucks. this new model is much better than the current model. i agree with paulie. this is a must do. it has a nissan 350z likeness.

 

THe glass roof would have to go. I live in Houston and it would turn the seats into a frying pan here. All and all I like the direction they are headed. The present eclipse is a POS.

 

I liked the 1st and 2nd model Eclipses. The AWD Turbos were brutal and stylish. The current one looks like a designer from Pontiac got ahold of it. What's with the tranformer Grand Am body cladding? It is one ugly POS.

I think it will look nothing like this in the end, is impractical looking as hell and well, it's just too busy and not that good looking.

I love it overall but agree with Hou-Tx that the glass roof
would turn it into a hot box in hot sunny weather.

Is the gas cap at the front of the car near the windshield? weird.

 

The designs in concepts usually dont make it. They tend to look very plain and round-ish. You know it looks odd but you can't tell exactly 'how' it looks odd. The roof would have to go, the *** is too round-ish, the front has too many lines. The car looks like its been pushed from the front and back, like it was compressed. Just my $0.02.

 

its difficult to describe this concept model. It looks clean yet there are alot of small details. I think its a pretty good design overall. ANYTHING will look better than the current eclipse model.

 

Odd but interesting looking, I wouldnt say it's sexy, not bad looking however.

Mitsu is going under I thought... I would not expect a bunch of new vehicles to be brought to market.

 

The little opening at the top of those front seats remind meof the rotary symbolthat is on the seats of our Rx8
