Wow, just another big HEMI to make a vehicle go fast. Can't they do anything with a smaller engine? DAMN!

I love the insanity. The new Jeep is horrendous--my dad has an 04 4.7L Grand Cherokee and I've always liked them until this recent design; however with the SRT treatment and $40K--I love it. I think I could get over the bugeye headlights. I was pushing my dad to get this one when he gets another vehicle; but I think he is going for a used 996 Porsche.

If loving that kind of ridiculous power is silly, I need to be committed.

I just saw a commercial for this thing on the SPEED channel. Pretty cool concept for those of you who haven't seen it yet. The Jeep is stopped in the middle of an open desert road and there's a tree on the side of the road. First 2 yellow birds land on the top 2 branches. Then 2 more yellow birds land on the branches below them. See where this is going? Then 2 green birds land on the lowest 2 branches and the Jeep is off. Starts at about $39k. My wife would kill herself in that thing.

Ridicously fast is more like it. I would love to get one for my wife, so I could drive it on the weekends, but I think things will be a little more realistic and we will end up with a CX-7. I wonder how people with the SRT-8 Charger, 300 and Magnum feel that they are slower and don't have the advantages of AWD to get all the HEMI power down?

That much power is always nice, but I think the concept IS ridiculous. Who needs to be hot rodding in a huge SUV? Just people that will end up killing themselves or others when they roll it!

It's not something you bring to the strip, track, or autocross. So where does that leave to drive this thing? hmmm, I dont' know about yall but I don't know want some soccer mom rolling her Jeep into me exiting the highway.

The wheels really set it off. It looks nice for an SUV. I always thought the same thing about the Trailblazer SS. If I had to drive something that big, it would be at the top of my list if I was willing to pay that much money for one.

Excessive? Of course, but that's the point

I love that commercial. Freakin awesome. Sounds nice and mean as well. Its probably the best performance SUV on the market as its half the price of a Cayanne Turbo and faster. The SRT appearance package makes up for the, uhh, complications with the redesign.
