This month, i visited the toyota factories in thailand and japan, and gosh, what a stark difference in mfg/assembly quality.

Thailand: more labour intensive, parts fitted manually as far as i can see

Japan: where's the humans? seems like they use robots for everything siah.

Case in point, saw a SGH plate Altis on the way to work today, brand new car, but even at my end could see that assembly was off - bootlid did not align properly with the car body.
