One removes, and plugs, the engine-coolant from entering the Throttle Body...supposed to help keep the incoming air cooler.

Arrow Ok.....

For all our search-impaired readers -

There is a coolant line that runs from the block to the drive-by-wire throttle body, and back. It is possible to get some ice buildup at the plate in certain conditions.

The bypass mod blocks off the flow of hot liquid, in hopes of keeping the intake charge a little cooler.

Good mod! Useful when the next ice age hits the FAR EAST.

Seriously this is a good diy for us in hot humid SG.

Fluid 4,

Are you referring to the mod which bypasses the coolant from the throttle body? You can refer to this link. It's in the DIY section. I've also done it on mine. Don't really feel much difference.

Actually, the oil catch can is totally different.
There is also a DIY for the oil catch can here https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=100635
That goes between the line from the engine oil fill tube and the intake.

The throttle body bypass mod, eliminates the coolant that runs through the throttle body.
