Spacers from FEED
Hi Fab 8
Hey this is what you are looking for. This part is from FEED and they do mail order (Asked them about the guage pod and they do accept mail order).
The specs are Front 18 mm and rear 23 mm!
My old Passat was on spacers too, but ride comfort is a bit harsh. Dunno to try or not....

Hey UG, thanks man! 18mm and 23 mm sounds like a lot! Wonder how the suspension components will be affected. But I'm thinking those Mazdaspeed rims definitely have a much more aggressive offset than standard, so using spacers would be similar to changing to the Mazdaspeed rims?? Someone can clarify??
BTW, whats their email address / website? Couldn't find anything. Thanks!

Hi Fab 8
Here is the website http://www.pac-gate.co.jp/feed/
After that choose RX8. If you are interested I can check whether can do a group buy :D
I have the email address on another notebook, will advice later.
Hmmm kindof like the rims and do not want to spend money on the Mazdaspeed rims....changing to 235/18 tyres...does it help?

UG, like you I love the stock rims so don't want to change.
235/18 shld be fine, but profile will need to be considered - 45 series will increase your diameter by abt 9 mm while 40 series will decrease it by 14.5mm (faster acceleration! :p)
At 23 mm for the rear, I wonder whether the wheel arches will scrape! But am definitely very keen on a group buy! :D But I will email them on their views on the additional stress on the suspension components.

Got a reply from FEED, they said the wheels with spacers will not hit the fenders as long as the car is not significantly lowered. Otherwise camber needs to be adjusted by 3 degrees. They also stated that they have sold many sets to Japanese owners and no one had any complains.
Total cost including shipping and bank charges is S$890. But I remember the website mentioning free shipping if purchases are above a certain amount. Hmmm...very itchy now...! :D
