I wonder if anyone can help by suggesting a service centre where I can send my car for 45,000 km service near Ampang area?

- wat kind of oil u using? Mineral? Synthetic? Wat kind of rating? Rotary oil?

- How long is ur last spark plug change? If u have not changed before, u can consider to change now or wait til 50,000km.

- Coolant - any coolant will do. Or if u r not particular, distilled water or even water will do.

- Battery - When is ur last change?


Normal service centres will not have the rotary engine spark plugs. 2 leading, 2 trailing. As for engine oil, again, if u r not particular, either u get mineral oil or engine oil with the correct rating. However, advisable to use rotary engine oil since u r at 45,000km mark oredi.

Battery and coolant change, any workshops can do it.

 

btw, while on tis topic, ivan, ur workshop does servicing or not? if so, how much for standard oil change servicing and how long must wait? cuz if price alrite and no need queue too long (heard ur workshop so popular tat need to queue until changi hehe... ), then i might wanna give my business to you lor.

 

for rotary spark plug....what is the heat range? got colder plugs not?

 

colder plugs?? sorry, still new to this term. Still need you to advise me on this.

However, Knight Sports, RE amemiya and Autoexe all recommend using back the NGK original spark plugs. Denso is not recommended altho they have it for the rotaries.

ur workshop does servicing or not
- Yes. Ur standard oil meaning? Wat oil do you want to change? or workshop recommend? No preference for u? We recommend rotary oil or mineral oil only. However if u have ur own oil or preference u wan to use, also can.

- Price alrite = ???
Price will be determined by the oil u use. Queueing shldnt be an issue. The rest of the stuff are standard.

Only Ampang area ah?why don't u go to sunway?More pro shop at Sunway area ler.My car also service there.Like Amoil,N1racing...or u can call some others KL members....cheers

 

You're not trying to lure angie all the way from KL to your dungeon rite??? Wat are we supposed to do for 45k service??? Check fan belt, change engine oil, transmission oil, oil filter,coolant and spark plug, then flush engine ...... Wat else....

May i ask how long have you driven your car?? And who serviced you car before??cos you mileage is considered very high.... Do you know Pandan Indah??? Look find Redsun Motorsports for your car service in that area........ Or else come to Sunway.....

C&C does service RX8 as well but at a higher pay.... The choice is yours...

ivan, usually i go they use royal purple 15w50 (or is it 40) syn oil lor. i no preference la. just normal 5k servicing only, change oil, change filter etc. i also seldom cheong wan so normal stuff will do. so like tat how much u charge?
