RX8 is electronicly limited to 148mph right? should work out to about 238kmh.

The non-JDM ones are.
JDM specs RX8 are limited to 180kmh (speedo reads 187kmh).

I guess in Singapore not many owners would go through the trouble of removing the speed limiter. You hardly ever have the oppotunity of pushing the car, given the level of traffic at any time of the day or night.

the car can easily hit 180+. However, you probably need a long stretch of road to do that... Trust me, it will be rather frustrating to be limited by the speed cut when travelling along Malaysia's NS highway.

Why not try HKS SLD it cannot be hidden under the cockpit / dashboard. Part # 45002-AZ001

mine's installed with HKS SLD. top speed 248km/h @7000+rpm (can't remember)

I heard F-Con SZ comes with SLD features. It's cheaper to get F-Con cos it can be tune and eliminates speed cut together.

urs old news or new?

Last i spoke to LEster a few months back, he said HKS japan is coming out wif SZ version and givin the same reapings as V pro. As of yet, havent heard anything....

V pro is too expensive for the meagre HP gain which is y the SZ. 5K compared to 2+K. Do the math....
