Juz tell urself y u buy this car in the 1st place? If it is about engine performance, this car can be really fast if u have the money to burn.. of cos compare to other makes, RX8 after market products are more expensive due to the scarce parts (different from piston engine) available. Also bear tis in mind by pushing the car, u oso gonna spend more money on maintenance like some of the forumers mention, most of the time the vehicle will be in the workshop.

Another thing is to ask urself, is ur car going to be use for racing or daily usage? If u r using for daily usage, is best to keep ur car maintenance low becos any sort of modifications to improve its power will stress ur engine n shorten its lifespan. This is especially for those who travel wif tis car alot.

I personally think money will be more worthwhile to spend maintenance parts to porlong the lifespan of ur car rather than spending money on high performance parts which kill ur car even faster.

If u r on auto transmission, u already have disadvantage against manual car. Therefore when comparing speed n power there's really no end...

 

That is NOT the TRUTH! A celica is not faster than an RX8, it only has 191 bHP we have 238 bHP. It is also FWD. The subaru is a ugly four door sedan with a suped-up engine, shoot a dodge neon can do that or the ford escort svt. But they are still ugly cars. Take pride knowing your car is fast enough and much sexier than those cars, if you were a good driver you could take those cars on the track.

 

An Integra type R beaten by my N/A 6 spped manual before, some more launching from 0km. But stop till end of 3rd gear due to traffic. If yours is an automatic transmission version, then maybe a bit jialat if test 0-100 or 0-400. Need BOT or supercharger to help.

What Celicas are faster than RX-8? The last gen Celicas only had about rated 180hp putting towards the wrong wheels. If you want to talk about drive train loss, those Subaru friends should really shut up as their WRXs loses alot of power due to AWD parasitic loss.
And finally, get a grip. Those cars are not even in the same class as your 8. they are just jealous and want you to trade in your sexy rx-8 for one of those econoboxes.
